incyde sound

Hailing from Boston, Alex Incyde first became involved in music through his work as label manager of Scuba's Hotflush Recordings label in London in 2007, where he began DJing at parties within the city's thriving dubstep scene, and began a radio show on Sub.FM. In 2008 he moved to New York City and became a resident of America's founding dubstep night, Dub War, where he developed a reputation for his tasteful selection and genre-bending explorations into bass music. Focusing more energy on enhancing his sets, his original productions were met with support from Mary Anne Hobbs of BBC Radio 1 and Scuba. "Axis" was released on Hotflush's BACK AND 4TH compilation in 2011, followed by the "Telophase" EP on Brendon Moeller's Steadfast Records. Later that year, his rework of "Lost Highway" by Badawi (Raz Mesinai) was featured in Scuba's DJ-Kicks compilation on !K7 Records. He spent the next ten years being a grown-up on the remote island of Maui, and now lives outside Dallas, TX.
