Parallax effect (also called the "2.5D" effect) refers to an animation technique where a moving camera is changing the perspective in a still image. Some elements or people in the frame can also be animated slightly, creating the feel of a slow motion shot. The effect can be a successful alternative to the old "pan and zoom" adding spice to your productions. It is spectacular, modern and if done right it has the "How the heck did they do that?" factor.
