Established in 2008 with generous funds donated by the batch of 1981, the Centre For Innovation (CFI) at IIT Madras serves as a dynamic forum for the creative output of our budding engineers. CFI was designed with the objective of providing students a robust platform to bring their ideas to life.

Here at CFI, we offer a great workspace, a comprehensive inventory, ample guidance from faculty and senior students, and the unwavering passion of the CFI team. These elements collectively make CFI an invaluable asset for IIT Madras students.

Over the years, CFI has successfully evolved into a vibrant hub that encourages innovative thinking and inspires students to generate novel ideas, truly making it the "Centre" for Innovation.
