Let's unpack some baggage we carried with us from spiritual abuse, cults and spiritual toxicity!
Formerly: TIM Studios Video Productions was founded by us, James (Minnesotan) and Christina (native German), when we moved from Germany to the US in 2010, producing a variety of commercial/industrial videos. In 2018, Christina felt ready to begin diving into personal video projects that discuss hers and James' experiences with spiritual abuse, stemming from an Evangelical/charismatic cult-like group in Germany. Our paths would have never crossed hadn't it been for that group! But recovering from the abuse has taken years! These videos found under the playlist "Spiritual Abuse" are the result of years of research, active pursuit of recovery, deconstructing Christianity, and reconstructing a Christian faith that is free of violence or coercion and based on the conviction that God is as good as we need God to be, and probably BETTER!
