Thomas Loftin

I have been an educator since 2007. I have taught 2nd, 4th, and all middle grades. From 2020-2023, I served 3 years as Greene County Schools' 6-13 Instructional Technology Facilitator. I work at Greene County Middle School as an Assistant Principal. In addition, I am an alumnus of the North Carolina Digital Leaders Coaching Network and the NC Rural Teacher Leaders Network. I am an East Carolina University graduate and a US Army veteran. Leadership and positivity are two characteristics that define me, I look for the same in my students & colleagues. I was GCMS Teacher of the Year for the 2015 & 2020 school years. I also served NC as a part of the Governor's Educational Advisory Committee. Since 2014 I have presented at national & state conferences as an ambassador for Greene County Schools, including the National Council for Social Studies, The At-Risk Youth National Forum, NCTIES, and many others.
I look forward to learning new skills and facing new challenges every day!
