No matter who you are, finding solace and comfort in music is a prerequisite rite of passage for countless teenagers. But for Leanna Crawford, playing guitar and writing poetry in the bedroom of her family home in Washington State was never just a pastime. It became her way of navigating faith, relationships, and life’s difficulties. No longer just another teen playing guitar and writing poetry in her bedroom, Leanna now finds herself, a happily married woman in her twenties, and she released her first full length album, Still Waters, in 2024. The album is a tapestry of struggle and faith, reflecting Crawford's journey and pursuit for truth, honesty, and beauty. Each song on Still Waters feels like a journal entry-infused with Crawford's personal reflections and experiences. "My prayer is that this album becomes a vessel of hope," says Crawford. "I want listeners to feel seen and understood through these songs - and as a result, encounter the love of Jesus."
