Sanatana Dharma: It refers to the eternal duties—truth, non-violence, cleanliness, compassion, and patience—that apply to all human beings.

Varnashrama Dharma: Duties based on one's caste (varna) and stage of life (ashrama) like Brahmacharya (student life), Grihastha (householder), Vanaprastha (hermit), and Sannyasa (renunciate).
