Our host, Rev. Roxanne Pendleton, MDiv, CTY200, has spent over three decades addressing trauma in diverse settings. She is fascinated by the intersection of brain science, lived experience, spirituality, and ancient wisdom to support whole-person health. Roxanne currently works as a Senior Consultant in the Center for Trauma Informed Innovation at University Health Behavioral Health in Kansas City, Missouri where she promotes Trauma Informed Care, embodied compassion, and support for overall well-being through innovation as well as evidence-based and best practices.

Roxanne has experience of trauma, mental illness, and recovery in her own life and family. Her book, Laughing Again: A Survivor's Guide to Healing Depression (2010), shares her story of recovery from suicidal depression and seven key lifestyle practices that keep her well to this day.
