Taj Dashaun joins Michael Rasile on For the Love of Sports to discuss his football career, what he went through after it ended, and how he was able to pick himself up to help others do the same.
Taj played D1 football at Stoney Brook University and after he realized he wasn't going pro he fell into drinking and depression. Playing this sport and recognizing it as a significant piece of his personality for almost 20 years hurt when it was taken away.
Taj was able to pick himself up and get better at dealing with the end of his playing career, and once he did, he noticed many of his friends were going through the same thing.
