This is what one is offered upon arrival at the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary.Located just 109 Kms out of Nairobi, to the East of L. Naivasha.
The island was formed in the 80's after the lake levels dropped.

The island is currently accessible by boat only.Having that the route accessible by car was covered by flood waters.The animals still thrive having no predators present in their habitat.. The Safari walk is guided and safe,though one is advised not to walk about at night while camping,having that hippos are nocturnal creatures.

Once there one can enjoy a picnic, bird watching and a safari Walk. The surreal background will surely take your breath away as you nibble on your sandwiches.
