Put Cloud Strife in a toad status with 1 HP in order to get a Rude vs Aerith 1 on 1 battle. Take note that this is a max level Aerith with a some high level Materias. Just keep your distance vs Rude. Don't worry, he won't use tackle or other grappling attacks against Aerith except Seize. This is very easy to avoid though. He can't catch you if you run. Spinning Axe kick will be the most troublesome to dodge, so just block it.


How to quickly defeat Rude on Hard mode -Just like Reno, this guy's weakness is aero. This will make things a lot easier and faster. Equip your wind materia + elemental materia. If you have a level 3 warding materia and a binding materia, equip it in order to prevent sleep. A level 3 Time materia will make this battle quick and easy. Aeroga and stop is the key to easy victory.

Rude is a member of the Turks in Final Fantasy VII who also appears in several of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII titles. He is a tall, bald man with a goatee who always wears sunglasses, even carrying spares should something happen to the pair he is wearing. Rude is rarely seen without his long-time partner Reno and is taciturn, tending to relegate the talking to Reno. He prefers to use his fists in battle.

Rude has a soft spot for Tifa Lockhart, and will not attack her if she battles him in their many encounters in Final Fantasy VII. In one of his rare lines of dialogue in Final Fantasy VII, he reveals to Reno he has a crush on her.

Aerith Gainsborough, alternately known with the first name Aeris, is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII and a major character in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII; appearing in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII

Aerith is the last of the Cetra, an ancient race with powerful magical abilities, and so the Shinra Electric Power Company hunts her throughout her life, seeking to exploit her powers. She meets Cloud Strife in Midgar, and the two become close, leading her to join his quest to fight Shinra and hunt down Sephiroth. Aerith is upbeat, carefree and joyful, being flirtatious towards Cloud and also compassionate towards others.

Aerith wields staves in battle, and is in the back row by default, as she primarily uses magic from equipped Materia in battle. Her Limit abilities are entirely defensive, either providing restorative abilities, healing other party members, or granting them positive status enhancements.
