Hairy Albino Sea Mammal Spotted Frolicking With Surfer Off Pacfic Coast!!

This was yet another tiny, sh*tty day of surf. SO tiny and sh*tty that Travis decided to go for a run up the beach rather than paddle out with me. When he returned to the parking lot, I thought he was done. But to my surprise, I see this pale whale-like creature paddle out on a soft top. By the way, Travis isn't wearing a vest; he's bareback. He's just so hairy that he has a built-in permanent wool sweater. But that didn't stop him from complaining as soon as he made it to the line-up. "IT'S SO COLD!!" he said. I'm like, "Really, I'm totally comfortable. In fact, I'm almost TOO warm, dude." Of course, I was wearing a 4/3 (or a "3/4" as our friend Victor would say), so I had a bit of an advantage.

He didn't last very long, but watching him trying to ride this water-logged Wavestorm was quite a spectacle. We've been riding epoxy, lightweight fish surfboards lately, so obviously it was quite an adjustment. His first 3 waves didn't go so well, much to my enjoyment. But I think my favorite one of them all was the one he actually MADE because the dismount was so f*cking amazing.

I included one of my successful rides in the edit to show it was POSSIBLE on a regular board, but Travis had to blaze his own path. Like I said, never a dull moment when you're surfing with Travis.
