Episode 8 Reaction -    • IT'S TIME TO GO TO WAR | X-Men '97 EP...  

EPISODE 9:
Professor X wakes up in the ruins of his school as somewhere on a cliff side, Magneto, wearing his suit from the OG show, lifts Asteroid M from the ocean floor. Cyclops and Professor X argue about Charles' decision to give Magneto the school. The X-Men devise a plan to defeat Bastion. Magneto hovers Asteroid M over the school, as he and Charles have their same old debate. Rogue and Roberto join Magneto, as Rogue mentions the attack on Genosha and Roberto mentions how he has nothing left on Earth. The team gears up in their classic X-Men suits. Gold Team (Storm, Jean, Cable, Forge, Beast, and Morph) battle Sentinels in a Jungle as Mr. Sinister greets Jean and they fight. Blue Team (Cyclops, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, and Professor X) reach Asteroid M and Magneto. Wolverine charges at Magneto but is intercepted by Rogue. A fight ensues as Charles begs Magneto to stop this madness. Morph, who shifted into Mr. Sinister, board the ship where Bastion is located, attempting to use the device that will negate Bastions control over the Prime Sentinels/Sentinels. Bastion doesn't fall for it. Storm and Forge continue the fight in the air but are overwhelmed as both are shot out of the sky. Sinister reveals that he has possessed Cable and Cable begins attacking Jean. Jean, telepathically shows Cyclops what is going on and tells him "I Love You." Blue Team successfully gets Magneto's helmet off and Charles is able to enter his mind to fix the magnetic field of Earth. Scott interrupts this stating that Gold Team need more time. Magneto is able to regain control and places his helmet on Charles, ridding him of using his powers. However, with his back turned, Magneto gets stabbed in the back by Wolverine. Using whatever energy he has left, Magneto is able to retract Wolverines adamantium claws and gain control of Logans whole body. He then proceeds to rip every ounce of adamantium off of Wolverines skeleton. Creating the iconic comic panel for the Fatal Attractions storyline.

EPISODE 10:
Inside Magneto's mind, Charles shows him the memory of when they both revealed their powers to each other. Magneto asks Charles how he could stoop so low. Leaving him not other choice, Charles uses his full power to fix the Earths magnetic field. Back in the jungle, Bastion holds the rest of Gold Team captive. Bastion then asks Cable how many times did he fail to stop him. Cable proceeds to say 200 times. Like the Phoenix itself, Jean rises from the ashes. She rebuilds the broken device and places it on Bastion as every Sentinel is powered down. Jean then drains every single strand of mutant DNA out of Sinisters body. Bastion rips off Cables metal arm and disburses it through out his whole body as he heads towards Asteroid M. Rogue greets Bastion and sends them to the blue side of the moon. Bastion is able to get the upper hand and is ready to choke Rogue out but Roberto saves Rogue. President Kelly gives the go-ahead to use the Magneto Protocols (Fly missiles into Asteroid M and destroy it). Magnetos mind begins to break more and more. He is no longer able to remember the faces of his parents and is unable to reach his loved ones (Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Polaris, and Rogue). Gold Team each take turns going at Bastion, with Cyclops putting up a good fight but is defeated. Jubilee is able to clip Bastions wings with rings of plasmoid, just like her older self in episode 4. Bastion is then stomped by a Sentinel being controlled by Beast and Blue Team. Still, Bastion fights on as he lifts the leg of the Sentinel. As the X-Men get ready to continue fighting, Cyclops stops them. Instead, reaching a hand out to Bastion. Bastion laughs at this as the missiles from Earth hit Asteroid M. Bastion decides to jump into the explosion rather then join the team. Fearing the worst, Jean and Scott say their last goodbyes to Cable. Scott unleashes the full might of his optic blasts as the rest of the team attempt to save Asteroid M from hitting Earth. Charles is able to fix Magneto, as he reawakens and stops the asteroid in its tracks. The asteroid is then seen disappearing out of thin air. Bishop, meets Forge as he tells him it's not where the X-Men went but where. The team are displaced in 3,000 BC and 3960 AD. The ladder, Scott and Jean are greeted by Mother Askani and a young Nathan Summers (Askani'son Storyline). The post-credit scene shows Apocalypse in present day Genosha lifting up a Queen of Hearts. Signifying Gambit's return as a Horsemen of Apocalypse.
