Hello! Welcome and in today’s video we will discuss some historical events what happened on this day in history.

Historic refers to someone who is well-known or significant in history. The term "historic" refers to something significant in history or a significant historical event occurred in the past. In history, there are highs and lows, occurrences that people can be proud of or ashamed of.

When you say something is historic, you're referring to the fact that it was either the first or the last of its sort. Historic events are significant enough to be written about in history textbooks. The term Historia comes from the Greek word historia, which means "to learn via inquiry or history." Although historic refers to something significant in the past.

▶️ Here are some of such peaks and valleys, based on historical occurrences:

• 1065 Westminster Abbey in London consecrated
• 1836 Spain recognizes the independence of Mexico
• 1939, The British Ministry of Food announced that sugar would be rationed from 8 Jan 1940 and meat from a date still to be fixed. The Minister of Food William Morrison said this would release foreign exchange and provide shipping space for the importation of armaments and raw materials.
• 1958 "The Greatest Game Ever Played": Baltimore Colts win the 26th NFL championship against the New York Giants 23-17.

Famous Birthdays:

• First, we have Woodrow Wilson who was the 28th US President who lived from 1856 until February 3rd in 1923 where he died aged 67 of a stroke. He served 2 terms as president from April 3, 1913 - April 3, 1921.
• Next up is Stan Lee. The genius behind many of the best known Marvel characters of all time and the reason we get to enjoy all of the movies we have been seeing over the past few years. Think Spiderman, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Panther, etc. He was born on this day in 1928 and lived a long life until age 95 where he died recently in 2018. And if you’ve seen a few of the Marvel movies, you may have noticed his cameo appearances.
• And a happy 66th birthday to Denzel Washington. 66 years old today. Born in 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York, Denzel went on to become one of Hollywood’s best known actors, staring in great movies such as Training Day, American Gangster and one I watched just the other day, The Equalizer.
