Eagle Feather Fan VLOG & (kind of) Tutorial

Описание к видео Eagle Feather Fan VLOG & (kind of) Tutorial

I make my first eagle feather fan and take you along with me, while providing basic instructions.

DISCLAIMER 1: I had no prior experience of fan construction, nor do I have friends or family that have experience with fan construction. I conducted hours of research to find information from several Native sources to learn every detail of fan construction. If you plan to follow my instructions, keep these facts in mind and note mistakes were made in this video. If anything in this video was done “wrong,” or if you have better solutions, ANY AND ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME IN THE COMMENT SECTION for myself and future viewers to learn from. Chi miigwech!!

DISCLAIMER FOR NON-NATIVES: My non-Native audience is welcome to watch this video for entertainment. However, the instructions in this video are meant solely for Indigenous peoples to recreate. Feather fans are deeply spiritual and hold significant meaning to Indigenous people who use them. Do not recreate a feather fan if you are non-Native, even if done so “respectfully”, and especially if done so for a costume.

In addition, please remember that it is illegal for non-Natives to own eagle feathers or parts: https://www.fws.gov/midwest/eagle/eag...
