Fast Notepad is the simplest Android notepad in the world. Nothing extra, no ads and it loads instantly.

Launching the application takes you to the folder screen where you can continue on with an existing notepad or press the plus symbol or add button to start a new notepad.

And that's your screen; a keyboard and a white space. Type what you want. You don't underline it, change the colour of the letters, adjust the font or insert pictures. This is a notepad. The one quirky thing you can do is chuck in a few emoticons.

The files that are created in Fast Notepad are text or .txt files but you do have the option to encrypt these files if you wish through the settings button on the top right hand corner.

Encrypted notepad files will appear in green text on the notepad selection page and will have a green background when you're editing the notepad file itself.

The folder page gives you a few options to create folders and manage the notepad files you currently have such as deleting them, copying them or moving them to a different location so it's a completely self contained application.

All the options can be accessed either through the settings button in the top right corner of the screen or long pressing on a notepad file.

Fast Notepad is just like your notepad program on a PC. It's there to quickly make notes and dump raw text for safe keeping and its simplicity is what makes it a valuable productivity application to any tablet user.
