ZYPERN - die Insel der Aphrodite! Acht Tage lang verbrachten wir dort einen echten Traumurlaub, feierten Danis Geburtstag und besuchten natürlich auch ein paar verlorene Orte. Die nächsten Videos sind deshalb nicht NUR eine Dokumentation des Verlassenen, sondern gleichzeitig auch eine Art Reisetagebuch bestehend aus Sommer, Sonne und Meer. Der LUCKY STAR PARK war zur Jahrtausendwende als Familienbetrieb gegründet worden, sein Konzept bestand darin, dass sich die Eltern entspannen konnten, während geschultes Personal die Kinder beaufsichtigte. Zahlreiche Attraktionen wie Autoscooter, Achterbahnen oder eine Kartbahn machten den Lucky Star Park zum größten Freizeitpark der Insel. Bezahlt wurden die Fahrgeschäfte mit einer eigenen Währung, dem „Lucky Star Park Token“. Seine Öffnungszeiten waren an das heiße Klima Zyperns angepasst, von 16 Uhr bis Mitternacht waren seine Pforten geöffnet.

Anfang 2020 sollte der Park um ein 1,8 Hektar Grundstück mit zahlreichen neuen Attraktionen erweitert werden, doch dann kam Corona. Bis heute ging der Park nach den auch hier eingeleiteten Schutzmaßnahmen und dem damit verbundenen Einbruch des Tourismus auf Zypern nicht wieder in Betrieb. Die Internetseite wurde mittlerweile offline genommen, laut einem Post auf der Facebookseite des Parks, ist dieser wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen. Vor Ort ist davon allerdings kaum etwas zu sehen …

LUCKY STAR PARK was founded at the turn of the millennium as a family business; its concept was that parents could relax while trained staff supervised the children. Numerous attractions such as bumper cars, roller coasters and a go-kart track made Lucky Star Park the largest amusement park on the island. The rides were paid for with their own currency, the “Lucky Star Park Token”. Its opening hours were adapted to the hot climate of Cyprus; its doors were open from 4 p.m. to midnight.

At the beginning of 2020, the park was supposed to be expanded to include a 1.8 hectare property with numerous new attractions, but then Corona came. To date, the park has not been back in operation after the protective measures that were also introduced here and the associated drop in tourism in Cyprus. The website has now been taken offline; according to a post on the park's Facebook page, it is closed for renovations. However, there is hardly anything to be seen on site...
