KeePass: The Basics And Getting Started With The Best Offline Password Manager

Notes I've forgotten to mention in the video:
• Backup:
It's important to keep in mind that KeePass won't sync your database file and back it up anywhere, so it's crucial to have periodic backups or sync it with a cloud storage of your own or have it synced with your backup servers/drives. Don't forget that if anyone had access to the file, it doesn't mean you are compromised. The file is encrypted and cannot be unencrypted (i.e unlocked) without the Master-Password you set up. So make sure to use a very strong password and never ever share it.

• Cross-platform:
KeePass has lots ports since it's an open-source software. On Android, there is an application called Keepass2Android which can read keepass database or create a new one from scratch if you wish.

• Browser Extensions:
Again since the project is open-source, many people volunteered to write some tools and plugins for it. There are some plugins that claim to integrate with browser and save you time with a form auto-fill. But I personally only used one plugin once on Mozilla Firefox and it didn't really deliver any functional usability. I don't mind copying and pasting manually most of the time, so didn't bother with trying other ones. Therefore, it's up to you if want to a find browser extension that meets your needs.
