By 2019, I scaled to $225k a year (and probably beat that in 2020 but I’d added in significant business coaching at that point, and I never tracked what came from fitness coaching and what came from business coaching 😛).

And before you think, “that’s because you have a big audience”, let me remind you that in 2017, I was barely making $2000 a month with online coaching, despite having a:

✔️“Large” following on IG and YouTube
✔️wildly engaged audience
✔️100+ comments per post
✔️thousands of likes per post
✔️more DM’s than I could keep up with

And yet I couldn’t even sell more than a handful of coaching seats at $65 a month.

The problem was NOT my audience size (clearly)... the problem was me.

And when I hired my first business coach in 2018, and she taught me how to actually sell & market effectively online… well many of you know this story.

My income soared to $20k+ months.

As an online fitness coach.

And, fun fact: my first business coach was ALSO a previous high-earning fitness coach.

And personally? I found that when I worked with business coaches who DIDN’T have the experience of being a fitness coach… they seemed to give me advice that didn’t really work in my industry.

You see, selling “business to consumer” is a little different than selling “business to business”.

Business coaches who have ONLY ever sold to other business owners are going to have practice in different strategy and tactics than a business owner who is selling to general population (like you are, fitness coach!).

Selling to other biz owners (who value investments and know they’ll need to make them) is, frankly, a little easier than selling to general population. Knowing how to market to GP is a skillset many biz coaches don’t have experience with… and therefore may struggle to help you 😬
