I show how I built a new closet at home with some 2x3 wood sticks and deck screws. I got lucky to have existing studs where my new wall studs were going - otherwise I would have had to use construction adhesive for the studs on directly adjacent to the existing walls. I also got lucky in that the top plate above the rough opening had ceiling joists I was able to tap into - otherwise I would again have to use construction adhesive. Next steps are electrical and drywall!
