Many people find themselves in careers that don’t allow their natural talents and abilities to shine and flourish. Unhappy and constantly stressed or bored, they wander through their work days feeling unfulfilled and purposeless. Dana Bridges, a former educator in various district- and state-level school systems, was one of these people, until one day she awoke... and scrapped her career she had spent countless hours, tons of money, and immeasurable energy towards. And it wasn’t easy. To help her overcome the anxiety and pain that comes along with her career shift, she became #allaboutreuse and focused her strengths as a creative to reuse scrapped pieces of trash in her art. Her journey becoming a creative reuse artist helped her to better understand her purpose so she could redefine her career into something #crazycreative. In her talk, she reveals her story and a challenge for people who desire to see more possibilities for their work lives.
Former public school educator. Dana re-purposed her teaching skills to educate in other contexts; creative reuse. During her workshops and with her art, she reveals the empowerment of taking “trash” and turning it into something beautiful and useful. Dana conducts workshops and displays her work in various organizations and businesses around Fort Walton Beach.
