This time lapse is based off of a design from Susanne Schlapfer-Geiser in her book Scherenschnitte. I mimicked the central focus of the house and the laundry and added the other elements to it. The cats, the watering can, and flowers are ideas taken from different patterns in the Scherenschnitte book.

Learned that this paper was too thick for this style, it left a large crease at the center fold. Cutting this piece took around four hours and ended up more challenging than I imagined. I attempted to add people to the design multiple times but scratched the idea after discovering how difficult it is to match proportions across a scene. I have much more respect for the ability of someone like Schlapfer-Geiser to draw very simple seeming silhouettes that reveal a subject at first glance. I had to stick to cats.
