A puppet theatre is performing in Newtown. Bibi, Marita and Johnathan take a quick peek behind the scenes before the show and meet the puppeteer. He has broken his arm and is planning to cancel the show. Bibi and her friends offer to stand in for him to avoid this. They intend to practice with the puppets whilst Carla Caramba drives the puppeteer to the doctor. But they can’t think of an idea for the performance. And so Bibi brings four of the puppets to life: Princess, Prince, the fool and a musketeer. The Prince and the musketeer immediately begin to fight for the princess’ favor, who the fool is also in love with. The princess is angry about the argument and runs away out of the theatre. Now they all have to try and find her. But in the big city there are lots of dangers awaiting a little puppet.
