Al Rawabi Dairy Company is a leading dairy and juice company in the UAE with a wide range of products from milk, yoghurt, laban, juice and functional products.
Currently, Al Rawabi operates in the UAE and Oman serving more than 13,000 stores with fresh products.

The day on dairy farm begins at 5am. The highly sensitive cows are closely monitored by a team of onsite expert vets and caretakers. At daybreak the cows from each shed are taken in batches to the milking
parlours.There are three milking parlors that house 220 cows in total, each cow is milked 3 times a day.

The milk undergoes a process of pasteurization, homogenization, standardization and fermentation, while still retaining its essential nutrients. During pasteurization the milk is heated before being cooled down again very quickly. This removes all bad bacteria and improves the taste of the product.
Homogenization separates fat and water in milk to make fat globules smaller. Standardization removes or adds cream from the milk to create products with different fat contents.

On an average day the farm collects between 250,000 to 270,000 liters of milk. Once the fresh milk is sourced from cows, it is immediately cooled to avoid bacteria as a cow's body temperature is around 38C.

It takes around ten minutes for the milk to be cooled to below 5C, after which it is stored in silos and transferred by tanker to the nearby plant. The tankers take the milk to the plant around nine times a day.

Al Rawabi's Animal Feed Plant was established in 2001 as part of their business diversification strategy.it was set up with the aim of supplying high-quality feed to over 16,500 cows at the dairy farm and also the nation's domestic market.Equipped with a storage capacity exceeding 25,000 metric tonnes and daily production exceeding 250 metric tonnes,They are one of the nation's largest animal feeds manufacturers.

They source the finest raw materials from countries like the US, Brazil, Argentina, Greece, UAE, Sudan, and France. This is then tested in the specialized QC Lab for quality in accordance with the Dubai Municipality regulations and the stringent Al Rawabi quality Standards set by the organization and consultants from the US.

Ingredients like Alfalfa, wheat straw,wheat bran, cotton seed, soya bean meal, top soya, Distilled Dried Ground Soluble (made from corn), molasses, minerals, vitamins, salt, and corn flakes/ground barley are used in the products.

The plant is also equipped with a Reverse Osmosis water treatment plant with ozone and UV filtration systems.They make mix suitable for a wide range of livestock such as goats, sheep, horses, camels and gazelles.

The farm is open for free educational tours on weekdays for schools & institutions and over the weekend for friends & families.
