In this run we try out several buffed perks & weapons with the Sniper class.
First "Ambush" perk now has the same stagger level as the Sanctified Reliquary activation stagger and can be used similarly. This is a big upgrade as it will allow you to stagger enemies every 15 seconds. Really useful to stagger a Helbrute out of their Area Denial Slam attack. Just make sure to keep the 15 second cd in mind. The only problem left is the debuff doesn't get any value. It lowers the movespeed of enemies hit by the stagger, but you are already up close to the enemies (the stagger range is about 5m). Attacks don't count as moving, so when an enemy does a lunging attack it will still travel just as fast, and enemies like rubrics can just teleport and I believe remove the debuff. I think a better debuff would be to just make the enemies that were hit by the stagger take 10%-15% more damage. It is to contrast with the 2 other perks in the same column which are more defensive. We can instead make Ambush the more offensive perk out of the 3.
The we have "Efficient Readiness" which now has the movement speed bonus linger for 5 seconds after leaving cloak. I don't know how much value I'm getting out of this, but I do notice the extra movespeed. Not the craziest buff, but maybe we can get more value out of it if we used "lingering concealment" with melee cancel tech.
For the melee weapon we use the balance knife. All balance weapons received around a 15% damage buff. Overall the balance knife & block knife is now 2nd highest damage with 110% modifier, only being beaten by the new heroic knife with 120% modifer. But the new knife & block knife has much slower attack speed. The new balance knife feels really good, it has good speed, damage and cleave. If you just want a good all around knife use this one. If you want to focus more on perfect dodge into shadow stab for big boss damage, use the heroic one. Block one still has its use at generating armor when needed, but the attack speed and cleave is below the balance and heroic one. Fencing knife is one of the worst weapons in the game, all it is, is a parry stick. Does no damage and has no cleave.
Finally we have the buffed Inferno Pistol. It got a 22% damage buff to the gunstrikes. It is now in a very good spot for Sniper, Vanguard and Heavy. The damage is significant and can kill groups of minoris consistently, especially the termagaunts. Previously the splash damage from gunstrike would only put them into execute state in Absolute, now they just die. It also much better and dealing with groups of melee majoris and extremis. Now I would say it's still not good enough for Assault since he doesn't have a primary to deal with enemies the inferno pistol can't deal with. In fact Assault can't even complete the new map if he uses Inferno Pistol because he has no way to deal with the Gargoyles during the Gate closing section. They should add an Assault specific buff to the inferno pistol that gives even more gunstrike damage to make the trade off of not having a long range weapon worth it. It's good enough for the other classes so the gunstrike buff should be assault specific

For the primary we use Bolt Carbine. There was no buff to this weapon but it just synergizes with the close up playstyle of "Ambush" perk. Also works well with "Efficient Readiness", you mag dump your gun into something then auto reload with Ability and do it all over again.
We also used the "Evasion" perk. People have been using this more often, but my biggest problem with it is the i-frames after perfect dodging and triggering it. You can see the issue here at around 6:27, after the perfect dodge It triggers and I still get hit by an attack. From whayt I see going invisible messes with the perfect dodge i-frame and makes you lose it, causing you to get hit anyway. Another thing is that "emperor's grace" prestige perk does not trigger on entering it, so no 2 seconds of invincibility which can cause you to get combo-ed while the 5 second invisibility timer goes down. They need to make "Emperor's Grace" work with "Evasion" and I would pick it more.
