Dedicated to the men and women of the mighty Red Air Force who assisted the allies in the fight against tyranny and aggression of the fascist Nazi cult.

In the beginning the Soviet Air Force was primarily made up of biplanes and late 20's era bombers like the TB-3. When Germany invaded Russia on the morning of June 22, 1941 - it was done out of secrecy in hopes of inflicting as much damage as possible so as to preserve any attempt of counter offensive if chance were given to regroup. 95% of the air force was devastated along with millions either encircled, captured and hundreds of thousands killed during the onslaught.

However, with Soviet retreat so were the factories along with factory workers. Soon a new air force was created behind the Ural mountains out of new workshops that would easily compare to the best the Luftwaffe would have to offer. By 1942, LaGG-3 became the backbone along with MiG-3, then by 43 Yak-3 and 9's took the lead, then by 44 Lavochkin fighters proved more then capable of dealing against the formidable FW-190's and with the aid of Il-2 knocking out Panzers it became quickly a realization for the Germans who the real masters of the skies were. Considering the highest scoring aces were naturally Germany - it was Russia who had the lead with the most aces which also included many females too!

By 1945 the Red Air Force in a matter of four years had established itself elite in the world leaving a trace of littered German aircraft in its wake.
