My many attempts at making my first fire with a flint rod.

This video is less than entertaining... I wanted it to be a real representation of my experience with a flint rod. I'm new to this. I debated editing out the lengthy clips of me failing at igniting a spark in my tinder, but thought that perhaps the yt community could give me pointers where I need. Maybe it was the wind or wet snow, but I really struggled with igniting my tinder! Any help or advice is much appreciated!
