Afghanistan's Minister for Refugees, Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, was killed in a suicide bombing at the ministry's office in Kabul, an attack claimed by the Islamic State. Several officials and staff also lost their lives in the incident, raising questions about the Taliban regime's stability. Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani was a prominent figure, being the brother of Haqqani Network founder Jalaluddin Haqqani and the uncle of Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
