WALTAIR DIVISION CELEBRATED 67TH RAILWAY WEEK Visalhapatnam Vizagvision

Waltair Division of East Coast Railway celebrated 67th Railway Week at Sagaramala Conventions, Saligramapuram, Port Quarters, Visakhapatnam today (16.09.2022). The Railway Week is being celebrated in commemoration of the first run of Train in India in 1853.

Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Aup Satpathy was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Shri Sudhir Kumar Gupta ADRM (Infra) & Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo were the Guests of Honour of the function.


Addressing the gathering DRM Shri Anup Satpathy said that the Railway Week celebrations provides an opportunity to review the performance of each unit of the Railway to recognize the meritorious services provided by the Officers and Staff of the Railways for their commendable work and achieved exceptional results. He complimented the Railway personnel for their valuable contribution of progressive growth of Railways. He expressed that the same spirit will continue to keep the Division's flag high always.

Merit awards were presented to 328 staff for their outstanding performance and Shields to various branches.

Waltair Division bagged 14 efficiency shields in Best Stores depot, Best Coaching Depot, Best Commercial branch performance, Best Electrical Performance in (Non-Traction) Energy management, Best Medical, Best Operating branch, Rajbhasha, Safety, Security, Sports, Best Wagon Maintenance, jointly in Mechanical and Scrap disposal at the 67th Railway Week Celebrations at Zonal Level, DRM, Waltair Shri Anup Satpathy received the shields along with branch officers.

Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer Shri R N A Parida welcomed the gathering. Various cultural events were organised at the venue. President ECORWWO Smt Parijata Satpathy, Vice Presidents ECORWWO Smt Kavita Gupta & Smt Madhusmita Sahoo and other members of ECoRWWO also graced the occasion.
