Описание к видео Spectacular 52WAV hike of Black Mountain in Benton, NH!

I've done plenty of solo hikes, but this is the first time in my life I've ever had an entire considerably-sized mountain to myself. Only car in the lot, only person on the trail (to my knowledge), and as you'll see later in the video, I was positively stoked about this entire experience. And those views... just spectacular. One thing about Black Mountain that I loved was its proximity to Moosilauke, giving you some impressive views of that massive mountain from close up.

The hike itself was a pretty steady climb the whole way, on a trail that climbed from lush wetlands and streams up through beautiful conifers and opening up to granite slabs and sweeping vistas. There were a few wet spots along the trail, but my La Sportivas handled it well and my feet stayed pretty much dry for the entire hike. Traction was excellent on the rock, although I'd recommend keeping an eye on your footing through the wooded portions of the trail due to the combination of pine needles and a decently steep angle of ascent/descent. There really aren't any points on the trail that I'd say were particularly difficult/terrifying, so just be mindful of where you put your feet (which I generally recommend anyway!) and you'll be fine.

Trails I followed:
-Chippewa Trail from base to summit, with a quick jaunt on a clearly-marked side trail to check out the lime kilns. Total distance of 3.91 mi, according to my Garmin watch.
