This song is new to me and I had never heard it before until someone requested it. I did a little research on Wiki and found out this information. It is a really beautiful song. It was good enough to go to the moon with Apollo 10 in May 1969. Enjoy and thank you for listening!

"Stranger on the Shore" is a piece for clarinet written by Acker Bilk for his young daughter and originally named "Jenny" after her. The recording was subsequently used as the theme tune of a BBC TV drama serial for children, Stranger on the Shore. It was first released in 1961 in the UK, and then in the US, and reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the UK Singles Chart.

In May 1969, the crew of Apollo 10 took "Stranger on the Shore" on their mission to the Moon. Gene Cernan, a member of the crew, included the tune on a cassette tape used in the command module of the Apollo spacecraft.
