Techo International Airport (KTI), Cambodia’s newest aviation hub, officially opened in October 2025 to replace Phnom Penh International Airport. Located in Kandal province, about 20 km south of Phnom Penh, KTI spans over 2,600 hectares, making it one of the largest airports in Southeast Asia by land area. Its strategic location and modern infrastructure position it as a key gateway for regional and international travel.

The airport features a 4,000-meter runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft like the Boeing 747 and Airbus A350. Designed for scalability, KTI is expected to accommodate up to 15 million passengers annually in its first phase, with future expansions planned. It serves as a hub for Air Cambodia and Cambodia Airways, and a base for AirAsia Cambodia, enhancing connectivity across ASEAN and beyond.
