I wanted to end the playthrough on a positive note. I got my buddy and together we played a round of the All Cup Tour on 150cc like good old times. He was a little rusty at first, but he quickly remembered his skills and he even helped me remember a few shortcuts that I had forgotten about. Shortcuts such as boosting behind the Piranha Plants at the end of the Yoshi Circuit, and also reminding me where you jump off a ramp at the end of Sherbet Land to avoid most of the Freezes.

Two player mode can be even more unpredictable and chaotic due to there being more than one human player, as well as the more limited visibility caused by the screen being split in half between them. We got back into our old styles of playing. We formed an alliance together against Wario and Peach to make sure they wouldn't have enough points to touch our scores. This included allowing each other to win when necessary and holding off on using items just in case they tried to pass us. At the final track, Rainbow Road, it was a situation where I needed to come in first to win or else my buddy would be guaranteed the winner. I had to dodge a lot of junk on the track, but I managed to pull through at the end of the last lap. We technically tied with our score totals, but due to how the game works, the victory was defaulted to me.
