The Chilterns are criss-crossed by a network of historic routeways that have supported communities for centuries. Many of these are still in use today as roads or footpaths, and are often quite visually striking, particularly the sunken lanes which almost tunnel their way through the chalk. Join Community Heritage Officer Sam Johansen for a discussion of these Routes to the Past, their history and importance, and how you could get involved in helping map them to help prolong their existence and use.
