In the fifth module of the Design Thinking course, teams will engage in a creative brainstorming session. Participants will generate ideas freely, without constraints, and place them on post-its for display on a board. Each team member will present their thoughts, with the group discussing and questioning the ideas to identify overlaps, extensions, or possible combinations. Afterward, the team will vote on 2-3 ideas that could serve as potential solutions to the problem identified earlier in the process. This phase emphasizes divergent thinking at the start, transitioning into convergent thinking as teams narrow down their best options.
One note about the video—I forgot to mention that for the problem we identified, namely students' financial issues, we proposed a potential solution: a platform for each faculty where employers can access students. It would function similarly to social media.
