BBC Radio 2 - Pick of the Pops - Alan Freeman - 1998

Broadcasting legend Alan Freeman hosting Radio 2's Saturday afternoon "Pick of the Pops" on July 4th 1998, looking back on the chart of 1976.

"Fluff" was coming towards the end of his time on-air - you can hear him almost losing the plot in a couple of places - but he still sounds amazing and clearly having a lot of fun with his Producer.

I had the privilege of seeing him in the summer of 2006 shortly before he died, while filming at the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund care home in Twickenham. He gave us a smile and still had a twinkle in the eye!
