“On Saturday, the 15th of June 2024, some members of The Delta State Police Command's Anti-Cult Unit, SACU, stormed Glide Hotel Ebedei with guns, machetes, and other sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically and causing damage to the property. They also flogged people with machetes, leading workers, guests, and customers to flee for safety. The armed individuals assaulted the customers, taking their phones and money and disturbing the peace within the hotel. This incident resulted in all hotel guests checking out. It is our earnest belief that the Nigerian Police will take the necessary actions to restore peace and justice."
