Take a look at the ASUS ROG Terminal. It's an RGB solution from ASUS that will synchronize your lights to the on screen action. Videos, Games, etc will generate light effects beyond your screen.

This also works as a terminal for Aura Sync compatable lighting products.

In this Video, I show the product up close, all the connections and it's use with Aura Sync and HALO. Halo is the software that allows the syncronized lighting to occur.

I had no issue with this device. the Aura Sync and Halo sofware can be flaky at times inducing a few choice words to get it going. The extensions are 4ft long which can and does create a cable management issue around your monitor. The strips themselves are bit long for my 25 inch monitor. For this demo, I just left them hanging off the endge and they look a bit unsightly. You could get creative and get them attached though.

For the synchronized demos, I placed a partially visible white board to give you an idea what the effect looks like on a white background vs grey backround although I didn't really mention it in the video.
