Southampton has been gripped by the controversy arising from Channel 4 and Love Productions’ choice of Derby Road to shoot Immigration Street - particularly in the light of the public reaction to their previous production of Benefit Street.

Now, with the local tensions running high, Solent TV has partnered with Sharp End Films to produce a unique access 3-part series which shows the daily reality of Derby Road in a closer, unbiased look.

Start seeing the real Derby Road through the eyes of Josie, an 82 -year-old who's lived in the area since 1941. Hear her side of the story in our first episode, 'Josie's Neighbours', coming soon to Solent TV.
