This Halloween we are talking about the Saltair Pavillion in Salt Lake City. It was built in 1893 and is an example of a Moorish Revival. The horror film Carnival of Souls filmed in a version of the building in the 1960s. This video gets into the many buildings, the lake, the water levels, the fires. But most of all we ask, what does it mean to take architecture details from other cultures and religions when the environment and materials are so different.
