Vintage Bus Show on the Huntington Beach Pier!

Huntington Beach, California, widely known as Surf City, is home to miles of beautiful beaches, perfect weather, a friendly atmosphere, diverse entertainment options, and a variety of dining and drinking establishments. With over 11 million visitors each year, it is an ideal vacation destination for both younger and older generations who are into surfing culture and the beach lifestyle. Moreover, it has become a popular tourist spot in Southern California. One of the most iconic landmarks in Huntington Beach is its 1,850-foot long pier, which happens to be the longest on the West Coast. Situated at the intersection of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway, the pier serves as the heart of HB.

It's hard to believe that a VW Bus event would take place at such an iconic location, but thanks to some ingenious individuals within our VW community, it's actually happening! It seems that no one had thought of this idea before, so we're incredibly fortunate to have a group of passionate individuals who made it a reality.

A lifetime surfer and HB local for 54 years, Don Ramsey always loved and grew up with VW Buses. For Don, it was the perfect surf vehicle for chasing good waves everywhere. After going through several Bay Windows and Split Windows, Don currently owns a 1967 21-window Bus that he has fallen in love with after purchasing it three years ago. Since getting his Samba, he has always enjoyed cruising sunny beach cities, and therefore started the Köwabunga Van Klan of Huntington Beach. Shortly after the group was established, Don also started organizing a VW Bus event in downtown Huntington Beach.
