What are animals' lives worth ? This is what this song is about. It is about the value we currently place on the lives of animals, and of living beings in general, human or not, about the trivialization of a generalized and institutionalized barbarism, about the disconnection between the reality of a cruel and torturous system and the consumer's perception without any guilt thanks to advertisers, and habits that are never questioned.
This song is a snapshot of life and death, a proposal for thinking, an illustration of billions of posthumous testimonies.
When you are not the victim, it's easy and possible to rationalize injustice, abuse, cruelty, and so on... Things are quite different when you are the victim.
If you have to consider a situation, you should always remember to look at it also from the victim's perspective.
