Stephen Axford has time-lapsed hundreds of mushrooms growing but this Cymatoderma elegans from 2014 is still one of his favourites. The last two shots in this sequence you may have seen in Planet Earth 2 and Fantastic Fungi but Stephen has always loved the capture from right at the beginning, observing the whole transformation from button to goblet and wanted to share it with you. Can you spot what happens to the ant?
