Chris Murungaru was mentioned to have ulterior interests in Anglo-leasing tender - Githongo

Former Ethics Permanent Secretary John Githongo told the court that Former Internal Security minister Christopher Murungaru was adversely mentioned by his cabinet colleagues and that he had ulterior interests in the Aglo-leasing and other related tenders. Githongo named former cabinet ministers Kiraitu Murungi, David Mwiraria, and Senior police officers as having accused chris murungaru of interfering with the investigations linked to angloleasing and other related tenders. Githongo who appeared before Justice Joseph Sergon for cross examination said he did not get any reassurance or denial of the corruption allegation from Murungaru.
