Can Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus be considered a historical game?

This video explores one historical element of the popular science fiction game: the alternative history world in which the Nazis conquered the world.

Connecting this alternative history world with the use of alternative histories by academic historians to imagine why things happen and what else could have been, I argue that Wolfenstein is more historical than you might imagine.

Part of a new video series called History Through Games that uses video games as windows into themes, debates, and concepts discussed by historians.
