💧 Hello, my name is Mark. For many years I struggled with insomnia. During the first Covid-19 lockdown I discovered that the sound of rain (white noise) was incredibly calming and helped me fall asleep.

That’s when I decided to create a video channel featuring rain sounds, so others who struggle with insomnia could also find some relief and enjoy better sleep. Since then, I’ve received many lovely messages from viewers who use my videos to relax or study, and who say they help them cope with depression, anxiety, and even tinnitus. Knowing that my work helps so many people truly makes me happy, and I promise to keep going!

💧 A few words about my equipment and production process
Every video I create is completely unique — you will not find any reused content on this channel.

Living in London is a great advantage. As you probably know, we have plenty of rain here, which I record myself, both audio and video, and later use in my productions. To achieve the best possible sound quality, I combine several different recordings into one smooth, steady track.

I’ve also chosen to make the first 30 seconds of each video visually calming, before the screen gently fades to black. This way, you can relax without being disturbed by unnecessary light.

For my recordings, I use Sony and ZOOM microphones, Manfrotto tripods, GoPro and Canon cameras (sometimes iPhone does a good job too), along with Sony and Sennheiser headphones. Editing and sound mastering are done on a desktop PC using Vegas Pro and Audacity. I also use Tannoy and Bose studio monitors with a Yamaha amplifier to ensure the sound is just right.
