It seems I am arriving fashionably late for SamJackShipday. For some reason, I got it in my head that it was August 28th, not July and hence did not make the deadline. :( But that wasn't going to stop me! I knew I HAD to make an edit of my favorite ship! I spent probably close to 6 hours just finding all the clips I wanted to use, and another ten or so more hours blending the clips together to make this edit of them. But I had an absolute blast! I had honestly forgotten how cute Jack and Sam were and why they are my number 1 ship of all time.

I noticed several things when editing them; Jack always helps Sam back to her feet and asks her if she's alright...they also smile and glance at each other A LOT. And are we gonna talk about Sam's special Jack O'Neill smile? Yeah, they're married.

Sam and Jack were my very first ship! I remember seeing them on screen when I was eight years old and just loving them. I would get butterflies in my stomach at the way Sam would lean on Jack's shoulder, and how he would put his arm around her. Even today, they make me grin like an idiot because I have never seen two people more in love before. This was my childhood ship, and it still is.


After years of watching beautiful edits of Jack and Sam by @HostilePoet17 @MissRainbowPie and @starg8rocks I finally had the skill to make one myself! It is definitely far from perfection...I still have much to learn about editing. Many of the clips were very low quality and fuzzy, and this was my first time using the color panel in Premiere Pro! However, for my first official editing project, I think it turned out well. I plan to make more...many more, so stay tuned.

I panicked a little at first because I did not have the perfect song picked out for Jack and Sam. I wanted something with a classic feel that described their love story. But as soon as I heard "It's Ok," by Tom Rosenthal, I knew I had found the one. It was tragic, yet hopeful, much like Jack and Sam's love story. Always wondering what could be...yet knowing that now was not the right time. Only that someday, they would be together. I think this song fits their love story perfectly!


This video is dedicated to my fellow Jack and Sam shippers! You are all wonderful people, and I could not be happier supporting and seeing your love for these two. :) I had a wonderful time fleshing out Jack and Sam, and their breathtaking love story.
