Why quitting your job will not make you happier | Choosing the right path (art and advice session)

✦ I'm alive y'all, just returned from holiday! ✦

I think that all of us want to be happy and free. However, in the pursuit of happiness we end up doing things that are not alligned with us because of what others will tell us will bring us happiness.

I, myself, am in the same situation right now. I worked very hard through my childhood and teenage years to be able to have a high-status job, without even questioning if it is what I really want. Right now, I have the job I though I wanted only to realise that it is incompatible with what I want and love in this life.

In this video, I discuss how and why we end up in jobs and situations we actually do not want, and how to make the best out of them. I also explain why simply quitting your job will not make you happy, and how your limiting beliefs will impact your future decisions, leading you to repeat the same cycle that brought you here in the first place.

While sharing my tips, I am translating this situation in my latest Copic Marker and color pencil illustration, titled 'The Golden Handcuffs'. The piece is meant to represent how our minds end up trapping us in situations we do not like, and how we become victims of our own greatness.
