At the recent Creating a Harmonious Workplace forum, hosted by the Abhyas Institute of Universal Awareness, we explored this fundamental question.

A harmonious workplace is not built on policies alone—it requires conscious culture-building, where inclusion is practiced, inner alignment is encouraged, and holistic wellbeing is actively supported. Breathing practices, mindset work, and self-awareness are no longer peripheral; they are foundational to sustaining environments where people thrive.

In our second panel, Nandish Torul (Head of Academy, CIEL Group Textile) shared a powerful initiative introducing breathing and mindset training in textile factories in Madagascar—an approach both bold and transformative.

Dhanjay Jhurry, Managing Director Education at Medine Group, drew a compelling connection between leadership and scientific values—truth, curiosity, and purpose—emphasising that trust grows when truth is spoken.

Yogendra Soobarah of AfrAsia Bank Limited Bank offered actionable frameworks for collective leadership, empathy across functions, and performance systems that reward not just results, but how those results are achieved.

Jena Gunnoo of EY Mauritius reminded us that values are not statements on posters—they are daily actions lived through flexibility, inclusiveness, and resilience.
