WHY DO I THINK SLEEP SUBLIMINALS WORK? I believe that there are three possible factors...
a) I employ a specific pattern of brown noise with changing waveforms for the entire 8 hours. Because the soundwaves of the actual words are being repeated over and over again, it's my hope that this helps the brain identify that unchanging word pattern and their meaning subliminally, without the conscious mind interfering.
b) The sheer intention that's put into creating these hidden affirmations may have an impact. Dr. Randolph Byrd published a study in 1988 that looked at the potential effects of prayer on healing. Byrd’s study, titled “Positive Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer in a Coronary Care Unit Population”, was conducted at San Francisco General Hospital and published in the Southern Medical Journal. It appeared to show that people recovered faster from surgery if others prayed for them - even if they weren't aware of the prayers. If intention can have this effect, it may be that even if your brain doesn't pick the sounds up - listening may be beneficial.
c) This is the one the cynics will give you - but you know what - I think that even if this is the case, it's worth having! People may say - the good results you get are simply a placebo effect.
